OUR OPTOMETRISTS can determine your visual acuity and, if necessary, correct it with prescription glasses. They can also measure eye pressure, take photos of the eye fundus, and do an OCT scan to assess the layers of the fundus. An optometrist does not diagnose pathologies, but will refer you to an ophthalmologist when necessary.

Optometrists at Kreutzwaldi Eye Center have received additional training and also perform eye examinations using medical devices. Of course, the prerequisite for such work is practice under the supervision of an ophthalmologist. Our optometrists are increasingly becoming true assistants to ophthalmologists.
